Marcel Duchamp & the Readymade
Leonardo did not specify who she was. Apparently, she did not smile so Leonardo’s had a hard time getting her to smile. It has the highest insurance valuation in history at $660 million in 2019. Some people think that the painting was related to The Virgin Mary because at the time it was painted, she was an idolized representation of the perfect woman.
Duchamp’s reproduction of the Mona Lisa has the change that she has facial hair. The title means “she has a hot ass” ‘L.H.O.O.Q’. He might have added male facial hair for a joke and to make readymade art which would show the art world a new kind of art. Readymade art is describing art created from undesired objects and to make them into good art. It can also be manufactured or found objects. Duchamp's art is revolutionary because it shows new and interesting art from things people might not like or want. To make people think what art is. |

I can see a lot of machinery in this collage. The lightbulb on the woman’s head is where my eyes rest. This might be to show that she is not treated the same as men. On the other side of the picture there is a car to show men that women are not something to own. I think that the artist is trying to say with the title, ‘The Beautiful Girl’, that there is a type of woman who might be considered attractive. However, I would call this image “the machine girl”. I would describe this collage as: interesting, descriptive and exciting.
My questions to the artist would be:
My questions to the artist would be:
- Why did you call it “the beautiful girl”?
- What did you want to get for making this collage?
- Is this how you wanted to the collage to look?

Daniel Gordon
Daniel's work is different because there is a lot of colours and objects that is not normal used in photography. I like his pictures I think they are different with objects that you would not think of being used in a photo.

PRISON PHOTOGRAPHY
Klavdij Sluban
|
In the film Klavdij explain how since 1995 he has approached taking photos of both prisons and the prisoners. He has visited Prisons throughout the world and although they are in different parts of the world they all seem to be the same in that they are very old fashioned in the way they treat their Prisoners. To put the prisoners at ease he makes them realise that, as he describes, it is part of an exchange between the prisoners and himself in that he can bring an something in that they do not have I.E Art. He explains how by letting the young Inmates take photos themselves they start to realise that there are subjects worth taking photos of and that hopefully that even though when he leaves they will go back to normal prison life that something will remain in heir mind of his visit. Klavdji seems to work on this subject of Prison photography because he cares about the people and the environment they are in.

Virtual School Trip to Bora Bora
As we can't travel right now (not that we would have travelled there anyway), we went onto Google StreetView and took a screenshot of somewhere in Bora Bora and then edited the picture for it to be presentable. Bora Bora in the South Pacific Ocean and is part of French Polynesia. It's about 165 miles northwest of Tahiti. I chose these images because they were different from the scenery you seen in England and they are beautiful scenes.
These are some glitches and shadows from Bora Bora.
